EVENTS & ACTION
Here you can find details of our upcoming events and the various other activities we are involved in.
Our events are aimed at raising awareness of a range of issues related to migration and displacement.
PROTECT THE DUBS AMENDMENT
February 2017
We condemn the government's recent decision to cap the admission of unaccompanied child refugees at 350 - barely a tenth of the 3000 promised.
Write to your MP and demand they speak up against the abandonment of the Dubs Amendment. Simply copy and paste the template email below.
There will be numerous protests, vigils and other actions taking place around this issue. Get in contact if you would like to join us.
ESCAPING INTO SLAVERY
26th April 2017
The event 'Escaping into Slavery' highlighted the links between the European Refugee crisis and modern slavery.
We were lucky enough to have speakers from The International Organisation for Migration (IOM United Kingdom), ECPATUK (ECPAT UK - Campaigning against child exploitation and trafficking,), Unchosen (Unchosen - Films Against Slavery) & Her Equality, Rights and Autonomy (HERA).
These presenters each spoke to this issues while also looking at the experience of modern slavery and discussing ways we, as a society and as individuals, can help to tackle these issues.
